Jeff winds up at UT with Tom.

My reasons:
1. He and Tom seem to have developed a friendship.
2. Cut from similar cloth philosophy wise on O.
3. Hes got the CO-OC title but he aint calling plays. If he goes to UT he will at least drop the CO. Not sure Tom called plays at UH. I think Major Applewhite called them but he aint going to UT due to pending litigation.
4. JR has to leave the house that raised him sometime. I know he did one time before via HS HC & at PC. But not since he's been in a big time job. I think it'll be important to his overall development and ability to land a college HC job.

I think Tom specifically said what he did about building like the elite schools like Clemson because Jeff can help develop that for him. Bama has the same thing but hes not recruiting anyone from there to come join him. I think hes greesing the skids to 1 get Jeff there and 2 prepare UT to spend the $$ to develop the staff and recruiting dept.

I don't want to lose him but I've been thinking about this since Tom has been linked to goijg back to UT. Just my 2 cents.

Scott could go...

Dabo did good with the co-oc deal, basically hedging his bets.

But...JS got it made here. Familiar recruiting territory, connections, family...we can get top prospects from sc, ga, fl, nc, and beyond.

Texas is huge but divided. You'd have to emphatically go undefeated in big 12 to make playoff as that conference is down.

Clemson is the model of how college football should be done, without selling your soul like alabama.

I'm sure it'll be a tough decision.

I've seen his name mentioned in some articles for the OC job and if he does go there he will most likely be a HC within 3-5 years. If he were to go to Texas, I would think Dabo would try to bring Justin Stepp from SMU (former Clemson GA) to coach WRs. He is a SC native, played at Furman, and has coached up the SMU WRs pretty well.

Tommy went to Texas coach to seek advise on what he did wrong. I Believe and if memory serves me correctly, the score was like 30-7 with our only score by spiller on kickoff. Proud of Dabo and the job he did ..
