He was disappointed that his star didn’t take the field and decided to put his authority on display. It didn’t work out for Maj because he lacks backbone. Dabo might let a player stay on the team while he’s “protecting” his future but he certainly would have set guidelines and discussions about where you are during a game and what is expected of you as a teammate. If that player doesn’t contribute in some way, then Dabo will probably let him move on to his next goal sooner than later.

I think a kid would have to remove all doubt that he can't be salvaged before Dabo would toss him out. With nothing but one heated discussion to go on I'd say the kids would be on Dabo's chit list and be carefully examined until he's proven to be worth saving or throwing away.
