On the USA as the preeminent Nation on the planet? Over human history most of those that rose to that position failed due to internal rot and decay. Maybe our time is up.

We are still the greatest nation on the earth, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s not even close.

Every nation has struggles, and we are no exception. Because we are the most free, we have our share. But we always come together and sort out our troubles. If we can survive the Civil War, we can survive just about anything.

Historically people follow the social compact until it no longer works for them in a personal way. 40+ million out of work with zero idea if they are gonna go back to work. Wage growth has been turrible even prior to the virus , folks are not getting ahaead. Hope you are right.

It morphs with the times.

We are malleable, sometimes to a fault. But this malleability is also the genius that keeps us moving forward, not backward. We should be somewhat relieved that good people care enough to get out in the street to express their concerns, at least the peaceful people.

And yes we do need to get people working again, Covid or no Covid. It’s a huge priority.
