Welp, APM finally had the "guts" to step on the scales today

Jan 4, 2019, 9:43 AM

Good news - clocked in at 179.2, meaning I have easily dropped the holiday poundage.

Bad news - I'm still well over my fighting weight.

Good news - me and Mrs. PAW have been on the straight and narrow since 12/30, with a break for the New Year's Day feast, and I am no longer craving sugar AND stuffing myself with green leafies has resulted in a nice colon cleanse.

Bad news - I have a full 6-pack of unconsumed beer (1 Bell's Two Hearted purchased at Thanksgiving, 5 Spatens purchased at Christmas (should have taken them to the in-law's)). These are decidedly not on the diet, BUUUUUT...

Good news - there will most likely be celebratory toasting Monday night/early Tuesday morning and beer keeps - Super Bowl. Spaten goes great with cauliflower wings!

very curious how your weight fared over the traditional holiday eating time.

Nice....

Jan 4, 2019, 10:05 AM

I was 235 in March of 2018. I'm currently 195.

All I did was cut out milk, rice, and all nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant) and associated food with nightshades in it (pizza, pasta, fries, hashbrowns, etc).

165 lbs. senior year of high school football.

171 today, and that's with holiday treats and the horrifically poor diet choices I've made during the last month of Mom-in-law being in the hospital.

Nice work ATL PAW MAN®

183.3 here and maintaining. Didnt gain over the Holiday, which I think means I had zero fun.

I drank a TON, but didnt eat a lot. Might call that an alcoholic diet, not sure, will ask 7spots Average 30 miles a week all through out the holidays, so that kept me under.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

7 spots doesn’t eat any regular food at all, only alcoholic beverages.

Jan 4, 2019, 12:59 PM

When he eats he eats that alcoholic ice cream and frozen alcoholic smoothies.

Doing dry January

Jan 4, 2019, 10:25 AM

with two exceptions pre-planned. One, I have never not had a bourbon drink on the day of a Clemson game and two, a neighborhood bar-b-q at the end of January. Also, stepping up my healthy eating. Will see how it goes.

Managed to maintain my losses from fall over the holiday

Jan 4, 2019, 10:51 AM

I was 258 October 1st.
Insurance offered to pay for a subscription to the Naturally Slim program so I went for it - it works. Don’t have to eat rabbit food and drink swamp water either.
Got down to 243 by Thanksgiving and I’m 242 right now.
Going to start working toward 230 after Monday night. I’m 6’4” so I can carry more than your average mortal.
This crappy weather is sure putting a hurt on my exercise tho.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I’m up to 226 from 222 a few weeks ago, but down

Jan 4, 2019, 10:55 AM

from 240 in May. Don’t laugh. I’m 6’5”.

Been pumping that new Trek.

Same. I thought I was down by like 4 lbs after new years, but it turns out I didn't lose any weight...I was just dehydrated by that much.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've gained 25 pounds or so since I stopped working

Jan 4, 2019, 11:23 AM

at the pizza joint. I guess those few hours a day on my feet were doing me some good. I've also really, really got to make an effort to cut down on the soda.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have looked at the scales next to the shower

Jan 4, 2019, 11:53 AM

but haven't had the guts to weigh yet. Diet has been back to normal a few days. Amazing how holiday sweets put you right on that sugar-craving rollercoaster.
