opened the eyes of Dabo and Co. to stop recruiting him. Either they saw something or heard something. I doubt the arrest was it, but it could have been the "final straw".

Ummmmm OK Marlin. That is usually what happens when a school tells you to get walking after you get arrested....lie to your coaches....and show a lack of respect towards your future teammates. CU was done with a long time ago

Exactly, we need Tenn and UGA to come back so the SEC east is not so easy again. On the other hand FSU is already getting rich, and I don't want to see them get richer. The ACC Atlantic went 3-1 against the SEC east this year, and, the SEC east went 3-16 against the SEC west.
But, I guess we need at least one team in our division to challenge us every year. We just need to quit losing to teams like BC and Maryland, fortunately I think the Wake curse is over (knock on wood) now that TB is gone. And we never had problems with Maryland until Friedgen arrived, but now he is gone. Even during some of our worst years, from 93-98 Maryland only scored three total points on us in 5 out of 6 of those years. They didn't start giving us problems until 1999. The Atlantic should be between Clemson and FSU every year, with NCSU and BC being minor threats.

That is our record against BC all time. Regarding the 50 year thing....we have only played BC ten times since 1958, and many of those included their best teams ever (Matt Ryan, Doug Flutie). We have a 3-6-1 record against them in that time frame, and there is no excuse letting a school beat us that cares very little about their football team. Losing to FSU and Auburn are one thing, they have fan bases like we do, but it bothers me losing to teams like BC, UVA, Wake, etc, and hopefully that will start becoming a rare occasion soon.

some of our best teams as well during those times. Why would you take a team lightly that just beat you and has owned you the last 10 meetings? Fan base means nothing on the field. The fans don't play the game or coach the game.
Clemson is in no position to take anyone lightly. We need to play every team like they are FSU. I am convinced this attitude carries over to the football team and is a big reason we get beat in games we are not supposed to.

but reading another article Lane will take his SAT's again this Sat before visiting FSU.Which would mean still taking it at this late date means he still isn't qualified ,just another mail in his coffin.

I don't think it matters who was done with who first here. The guy is a senior in high school and has made some mistakes. Best of luck in the future to the guy, I wish things would have turned out differently.

in this situation if you want. There's always 2 sides to every story and we don't even know 1 of them. Obviously, somebody did or said something to the kid that he wasn't pleased with. I saw where he said somewhere, that Dabo wasn't answering the phone when all of this stuff was going down. Have no idea what "this stuff" is but it's obvious that something happened that we don't know about.

Marlin Lane----His comment "I am done with Clemson University for good" as he visits UT rings somewhat hollow. I'm sure that young man understands NOW that he doesn't control the football program at Clemson. CU will have an excellent recruiting class without this one.
