Elliott looking for finishers as spring draws to a close

Offensive coordinator Tony Elliott said the offense would have looked much better during Wednesday's scrimmage if it had been able to finish drives. What does he say about the younger offensive linemen? How was the tempo? Full Story »

I would say the 4 freshmen got to go as a unit against the #1 defense. Best way to grow them up. Glad the freshmen have a nasty attitude.

Sadly I dont recall us recruiting anyone who is Finnish. Maybe we should rethink that. ;)

This doesnt surprise me, the red zone is all about the OLine

can you run the ball when the other team knows you're gonna run it, you have to be able to impose your will on them. Between the twenties the offense has the advantage, its run and pass territory. But inside the redzone, the defense has the advantage, passing lanes are compressed and the defense has much less territory to defend and running the ball becomes much harder, especially when you have a softazz OLine who can't get a push against a D1AA defense.

Happy to hear about the TFL's. These guys have been in Venables system for a couple of years even though most of them haven't started. But they've played, and the Tfl's were HUGE for our team's success in 2014!

Keep bringing the heat defense, it can only make the O-Line better!

4 guys that could still be in high school are close to our veteran guys

Are they that good or does that speak more about our past quality of recruiting?
