This defines a truly sad fan base .....

When a fanbase can be satisfied and proud of the effort it's team put forth, when they ....

1. Lost to their arch rival for the fifth straight year,
2. Gave up 56 points to an offense led by a true freshman quarterback,
3. Gave up 744 yards of offense,
4. Can look forward to a meaningless bowl game played in Alabama or Louisiana,
5. And are OK with their arch rival going to its fourth straight CFP appearance.

Those characteristics define a truly sad fan base, and one who has given up all hope of ever being in the National spotlight. That's Gamecock football.

only bama and ND can afford to lose this late.

Clemson won't get the same consideration bama did last year and unfortunately they can't dodge a 13th game to guarantee they are in the playoff.

Honestly. We shouldnt have to play a championship game against a 7-5 team. Even if we were to lose we would have one loss and they would have 5 losses. They should just cancel the championship and give us the trophy. let us prepare for Notre Dame - they get to rest their players and prepare for us a week earlier

Wisconsin was in..Bama was out.

Wisconsin had to play a 13th game, bama didnt.


on dec 2nd Wisconsin played their way out while bama practiced their way in.

It's good to be happy about things, in general.

A sad fanbase is one who demands firing coaches when they go 9-3 every year.
