It is cultural as much as athletic. The ACC is primarily a Red State Conference and the Big 10 is primarily a Blue State conference.

BC, Stracuse and Pitt are bad fits with us. They are true Blue State schools. FSU and Miami are in a Blue State, but just barely. Same with Virginia and VA Tech.

Only Indiana is in a Red State among the Big 10 but they are an outlier with awful football but good basketball.

So we need to find some Red State schools to join us, and forget about trying to mix red with blue.

unfortunately most folks in the red states don't know it's the 21st century. Now as far as football is concerned, I want Clemson to embarrass SC, not because some #### ant on FGF posts something stupid, but because we are the good guys period.
