Clemson beat the best defense of all time and Alabama is better than Auburn.

This is the best Championship win in ACC history TBH.

Yeah. It's probably the best one ever. Playoff era against the biggest dynasty ever. The balls to go for the win with 6 seconds left.

It may have taken us 35 years to get the second one, but it took us 85 to get the first. It may be interesting to see how someone with Alabama would rate their 16. I'm certainly not going to worry over where it ranks against any other grouping of Champions.

We had an epic playoff run whipping OSU and beating

an Alabama team that was poised to go down as one of the all-time greats (maybe 2nd tier all-time great and not 95 Nebraska, 01 Miami, etc). On the other hand, FSU had an historically great regular season just destroying everyone they played. Their regular season was far, far more dominant than ours. They didn't play spectacular in the title game against Auburn though and that Auburn team definitely wasn't as good as this Bama team.

I think the ACC is much tougher now than it was 4 years ago which certainly contributed to FSU blowing out so many teams.

S&P+ just got updated and has our 2016 team slightly above the 2013 FSU team. Bama is still #1 this year though - we didn't close the gap. I know a lot of Tigernet people will freak out about that, but that's how these metrics work. They don't flip teams just because of one game, even if it's head to head. Anyway our final S&P margin was 26.9 and 2013 FSU was 25.6.
