not sure I could hang on that long. Seems odd that he "tore his bicep" from just hanging there.

AW HAIL NAH. Man, I played this on the big screen TV and crapped

Nov 29, 2018, 10:15 AM

my own pants. I know nothing about hang-gliding so I have a question... after they realize what has happened, why couldn't the pilot hang a right at about the :45 mark and do a quick landing? It looks there are a couple of good grassy areas. Even if it is a "rough landing" isn't that better than taking that big flight over the trees and going WAAAYYY up high? That guy coulda easily have lost his grip at any point.

I read that the 'pilot' couldn't control the glider with

the guy moving and grabbing him, and the weight displaced...

I like some 'adrenaline' sports...i ski rather aggressively, fast, and generally very challenging terrain...been a while, but was avid mountain biker...never skydived (skydove?), but don't think I'd have a prob doing it...

however, hang-gliding has ALWAYS been something I'd never do. I don't know what it is, exactly, but this vid just confirms that

I bet your body hair creates some serious wind resistance. You probably hit terminal velocity at about 15mph.

It'd be like most folks biking or skiing with an open parachute behind them.

don't be an idiot. I wear the best quality, highest-tech

North Face gear you can buy at REI. There's no body hair (been years since I've been spring-skiing in a t-shirt - suns out, guns out) exposed broseph.

Now, It's my overall breadth that causes the excessive wind resistance. I've topped out around 70mph tho, and thats ONLY because it was my first time down that trail, and I was unfamiliar with it.

But yeah, I'll stand straight up & face forward if I need halp slowin' down

The ripping and the tearing makes you never want to do that again.
