on the last play. Would have taken time off the clock and forced us to decide between a kick to tie or one last play to win (or lose).
Been done in the pros before and if I were the defensive coach I might be wishing I had done it.

oh they tried when they grabbed and threw Artavis Scott down, but Hunter was so wide open none of that mattered.

that's why the play was called. They did interfere with Scott, and it would have been called if that was where the play was going.
Alabama tried to knock our players out with cheap shots and they would do anything to win. But it didn't work.

I'm pretty sure the play you're talking about began on the 7/8 yard line and the penalty took it to the 2 yard line. Actually, the PI occurred at the half yard line. If it's called that way, i don't know what the penalty would be.

And I think if folks pursue that strategy then a rue should be in put in place that allows the time to be put back on he clock for any accepted penalty in the last 2 minutes. Time should be reset to the time at the point of the snap.
The DB was absolutely smart to interfere with MW on the previous play. They should've done it on that play.
But they didn't.

that was going to be their strategy. I looked at my life and said "oh sh*t they are just going to tackle our WRs until we have to kick a fg." It's stupid that that's even possible. They need to go ahead and edit the rule book to add time back to the clock for defensive holds and PI inside of 2 minutes or something before that becomes a popular strategy.
