Really embarrassing outing tonight.

Frustrating that we started out with such promise and beat some great teams. I hope we can regroup and finish strong, but the morale has to be low. Need some team leadership to refocus these guys. Who's that person?

after the Tech loss. Tonight, they just quit. Staff and team needs to do some soul searching. I've watched more bad Clemson basketball than I can remember, but when they give up, that's another thing

It is significant when a Brownell coached team quits.

A hallmark of his teams is determination and grit. Even when outmatched, we never seem to quit and that is something I love about him. It gave me a belief that with more talent, Brownell would get us over the hump. Now, I'm not so sure.

Hate to say it, but if I'm DRad, I'm encouraging Brad to polish his resume and leave for another job at years end. He could land a mid major easily with his reputation in coaching circles. Save face all around

The question is, would we truly make a home run hire? We should, given our nice facilities and newfound commitment to basketball. I just hope we won't try to be cheap about it at a time when we must get a great coach. It obviously doesn't need to be a Pitino type, but we also don't need to take a chance on an assistant when proven division 1 coaches are out there.

Brownell is the problem. Our ceiling will not rise while he is here. Defense is bad, Reed's lack of minutes is befuddling, and this team has the lowest basketball IQ and worst fundamentals over the past few seasons. Rebounding is the lowest priority for this team. No wonder we don't beat good teams. At least Brownell is not pouting as much these days.
