Ohio State Excuses

I can't remember a team that we've beaten who've cried more about a game than the Buckeyes. I've seen Twitter Verified OSU beat writers posting lists and replays of the most inane minutiae that didn't go their way, e.g.:

The Ross catch-no-catch was objectively a "break," regardless of where you come down on the outcome, but that was in the 3rd quarter, we punted to them right after that, a million things happened between then and the end of the game.
If we were interested in combing through the game for nitpicking stuff instead of looking ahead to actually playing another game, we could find a hundred things that went OSU's way that could've "changed the outcome" of the game. That's what sports games are... BUT, off the top of my head, we could be whining and making excuses about:
- Our best WR going down the entire first half (where we coincidentally don't score).
- Missed FG on opening drive.
- Ross goes down with an injury.
- Uncharacteristic drops by Higgins, Ross, and Overton (I think), the last of which would've be a key 3rd down conversion.
- Dropped Pick 6 by Wallace (this was huge--there was nothing between him and the end zone).
- Missed holding calls at least on Tyler Davis that I recall.
- Missed sack on a huge scramble by Fields to get into the redzone...
- Reviewed incomplete pass on OSU's first drive that was overturned and given to them.
- PI call(s) that could've gone either way that went to them.
That's just off the top of my head. These aren't evidence of a vast conspiracy against Clemson, it's the way a football game works--momentum, opportunities taken advantage of, execution, which team responds. OSU had their chances, especially in the 4th, they couldn't get it done.

I read that thread also. I cannot believe how ridiculous they are. Good grief. You can what if every game ever played. To me it comes down to how a team responds to adversity. That is the difference between champions and the rest. At the end of the game, each team had an opportunity to win. We executed, they didn’t.

2-year old that had their candy taken away.
OSU fans are the most smug, self-entitled fans on Earth. They actually would be exactly the same way if Clemson had boat-raced them. They honestly believe it was their year and nothing short of a conspiracy could have taken it away.
The fact is that they were a fragile team. A very good but fragile team that could not handle adversity that showed up in the game. To be honest, Clemson had a couple of years like that - but moved past it and are now the "Death Star".

Let's try to come up with the 10 OSU "keys to the game".
Interception Interception Field goal instead of TD Field goal instead of TD Field goal instead of TD Roughing the punter Inability to catch TL16 on a 60+ yard run Dobbins dropped pass Dobbins dropped pass Clemson's easy schedule.
