There is no reason to panic about Jamyest

Jul 9, 2016, 4:36 PM

Let's be honest here. Why on earth would he actually go to the gamecocks?
From a coots perspective:
"Cuz coach BOOM and T-rob are the best recruiters in the universe."
That's why they have been landing 2 stars and a coaches son for a QB.
"He want to play real SEC ball"
Then he would go to UGA.
"he loves the city of Columbia"
This one is pretty self explanatory.

My point is there is no reason he would go there. He'll get playing time early anywhere he goes. I think he is playing games, and we have been on him for so long that I think we have him. We'll have to see how it all plays out but I am not concerned. The people who say that we backed off or that we would rather have AJ Terrell are wrong. He is ultra talented and we would love to have him on board, and I think we do.

Well, I can't say anyone can argue with your reasoning.

All of those are valid points. Anyone that says their team wouldn't be better with JW on it is fooling themselves. A young man that starts getting college scholarship offers in EIGHTH freakin' grade, you can rest assured can play ball.

Agreed. Unless the coaches know of a reason to back off on this guy, then I feel we should stay the course. You can NEVER have too many good DBs. It is a passing game these days, and having athletes that can cover, and most importantly provide depth is paramount. Even without injuries, with the high tempo game played now, having the opportunity to give your 1's a breather and not have a major drop off is a big help.

If we take AJ Terrell and Jamyest we'll have 10 CBS on scholarship***

True. The way I look at it, you put the best

players/athletes on the field. I understand they're not always the same thing, but for the most part, and if their heads on straight.......
Anyways, point being, adding another guy that athletic can add depth to a lot of positions if necessary.

I didn't realize it would be 10 DB's until you posted that, but I've learned it best not to question TW! ;)
Good point as well.

Not just 10 DB's but 10 CB's

How many of them would you feel comfortable about against FSU or in the playoffs?***

6. That's a decent 3 deep for 2 spots.

Doesn't matter where J. Williams goes at this point. We have put all our eggs in the A.J. Terrell basket and are only taking one more corner. The coaches get most of who they want and if the guy wants to be a coot why should we care?

Thanks Coot!***

I don't know, I just can't seem to get myself worked up about a 5'9 cornerback. His Maxpreps highlights don't show a single pass breakup.

I like him much, much better as a back and a returner.

I think I might take Dabo's opinion over a Max highlight

How many recruits are we going to get in January?

Jul 9, 2016, 10:19 PM

When we've been #1 since October, again. And we're headed to Tampa? + New Football Ops Ctr, Deshaun likely in the mix for the trophy, and a National Title?

We'll have guys knocking down are door to get an offer.

2018 & 2019 classes could be even better.
