that was 30 minutes before the game.
they had a beerfest and bring your dog night.
they have a doorbell sound effect that makes all the dogs go nuts. pretty funny stuff.

Went to a Rainbows game back in the late 80s where a dude and his family were walking up the rickety old wooden bleachers and dude fell through and got stuck all the way up to his thigh. Me and a buddy actually went under the bleachers and try to push him up but he was wedged in tight, and stayed that way for about 4 innings. The best part of the entire episode was when THE ENTIRE STADIUM started chanting "D1CKHEAD'S STUCK! D1CKHEAD'S STUCK!" for an entire inning. The guy's wife and kids were so embarrassed, they moved away from him. Finally, fire & rescue cam with a circular saw and when they cranked it up, the dude yanked his leg out and limped away as the team officials tried to chase him down and make sure they were not going to get sued. He wasn't listening and limped away even faster.
And THAT, my friends, is the story of the greatest game ever played.

city would renovate that into some sort of multi-use field for baseball/softball/kickball/etc. or just go ahead and tear down the eyesore that it is and add to usable park space.

college park is now owned by the citadel. they traded for the land that they built the joe on.
not sure if that is accurate, but apparently it is citadel practice field and they own it.
