I don't care what race you belong to. There's nothing you can do about that. We have races, each person belongs to one.. So be it. Just don't hate or if you have to hate, don't act on your hatred and we'll all be ok.

Cudjoe Lewis showed up in my town in 1860 and most of the people in Africatown shunned him...wrong tribe and all. Not exactly current, but it's to the point.
The problem now, as it was then, is it's not seen as taboo. The dude that shot Malala Yousafzai in the face, a 13 yr old girl...he was wrong. His own people didn't d a m n him...we droned him, did it for them. The father and son redneck duo that killed Arbury, nothing would've happened to them except for some video being published; by their own neighbor at that. He and his redneck lawyer thought it would prove they were in the right; LOL.
The point of it all is we're citizens of the USA, and most of us were beyond the petty racism that we grew up with, and the violent racism our parents experienced. Instead, our country has accepted that virulent racism is OK. Dubble You Tee Eff people. Srsly.
Nobody needs to try and normalize prejudice; not in this country for sure. Just stop. We can have a good economy (after this covid shid) and not demonize pubs or dems, blacks or whites, mexicans or hondurans, Canadians (lol), rednecks or nerdy academics.
And to answer your original question...yes. Us white folk in the US were doing great on the racism front except for the last 3 yrs. But we don't hold a candle to what goes on elsewhere.

2) Prejudice is not racism. If you don't know the difference, then it is futile to have any discussion with you.

I was there for work and the host engineer took me to a pub, where a few other Englishmen were discussing other "peoples." I quickly learned that the English hate folks from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, etc. BUT, they quickly said how much they love the Yanks.
I recalled walking away thinking that was full of BS, they hate Americans too
