Sorry, but no other ACC team this year was that good!

ND making the playoffs without a conference championship

pretty much insures that your scenario (yes, I see what you did there) does not occur anytime in the near future.

Actually, I think this year shows the scenario with ND joining the ACC is closer than you think. ND only made the playoff because they went undefeated. If they had lost one game they would not get in. On the contrary, Clemson has gotten in twice with one loss. With the exception of Bama last year, we have had a number of one loss teams get in but all of them were conference champion winners. Also, Bama would have been left out last year had Wisconsin won their conference championship. The only way Bama made it was OSU had 2 losses.

A one loss ND team this year gets left out for a one loss OSU and a one loss Oklahoma team. Let that happen one time and I see ND begging to join the conference full time.

Valid points!

Of course, if ND were in the ACC this year, they’d probably be in the Coastal, with a date against Clemson this Saturday ... a pretty daunting obstacle to their playoff chances.

But, what a great ACC title match-up.

I hope you’re scenario is correct.

The sad part of ND in the playoffs they keep all the money

Nov 28, 2018, 9:44 AM

They don't have to share the money with the ACC. I call bull crap! You either ALL IN or not.

I hope ND never joins in football because they will go to

9 conference games and you can kiss future OOC matchups with the likes of Georgia and LSU goodbye. We already play SCAR every year and no way they do a home and away with any other team for the other two slots.
