within the conf....with us having a rival outside of the conf and in a yr we play ND we would only have 1 game of flexibility...that simply doesn't work. You've GOT to go back to an 8 game schedule.

rumors are that will happen now. why we ever went the other way to 9 is beyond me.

I hope that does get rolled back

The reason for 9 games was so the ACC had more games to sell

to ESPN. It was the only way to get the total contract amount up. As much as I too want to go back to 8 confrence games, I'm not sure adding 2 or 3 ND games will more than make up the loss of 7 confrence games. It would probably be a wash and not add value to the contract. My guess is that the ACC would make us have a 6 home game schedule every 6 years. On a side note, this may be a good thing for us. It could prove that we don't need 7 home games and maybe we would pick up another Goergia series inbetween a ND game.
