The reason alabama won the national championship

Jan 26, 2016, 8:40 AM

Clemson won the game. Everyone knew who was watching. Clemson dominated on the field.

Hats off to Alabama but I must say this on the finality of that game.

Alabama beat us without Alexander. #2 Alexander was the leader of the defense, he was the voice of the defense and he was the top defensive back. Two Huge touchdown passes were thrown in his absence. Had he had been in the game, those two touchdowns would have never occurred.

Swinney pointed out that against south carolina they ran the same special teams trick play and the refs called it back, for whatever reason, it was illegal in that game but against alabama it was okay?

alabama was shut down, they did win however in special teams. With the exception of the one broken play their star Heisman running back did not do ANYTHING. The defense shut him down the rest of the night even on the goal line, WHICH if you look at the replay at the end HE DID NOT GET IN. THey just gave alabama the touchdown.Their running back was shut down the entire game though......

alabama beat us without our top wide receiver and our second top receiver Cain.

We dropped 40 points on alabamas supposedly impenetrable defense.

espn was rolling out the alabama trophies and hats way before the game was over. they wanted bama to win at all costs.

* at the end of the half, Clemson was moving the ball down the field and they completed a first down, which the clock should have stopped with 12 seconds left. Go back and look at it. 12 seconds. That is at least two plays, which could and probably would have resulted in either a touchdown or a field goal. The refs wanted to not even bother, Dabo had to run on the field, they only gave Clemson 9 seconds instead of 12. No team would have kicked a field goal with 12 seconds, they would have downed the ball and called another play.

Everyone knows who really won the national championship. Even coach saban knew, alabama players knew, they were all shocked, saban was angry and throwing stuff, they knew they were getting beat.

so bama can enjoy their little piece of glass THIS year.

Jan 26, 2016, 8:59 AM

The onside kick was legal. The reason Alabama won was because they made less mistakes on the field than we did that night. If #2 does not get hurt maybe we win, if 21 makes the tackle maybe we win, if we kick the #### ball out of the end zone maybe we win. It is all what ifs time to move on and enjoy next year. We should win 10 games again next year and if the ball bounces our way in the FSU game then we might just get back to the natty. Just remember Osu won it last year and this year they did not make it so it will not be an easy task to get back to the natty. Go Tigers

This is the correct answer. A little luck, fewer mistakes, appropriate chances that paid off. In the end you could play 10 times and those teams might split 5-5.

Give it up and quit the loser's mentality........

Jan 26, 2016, 10:33 AM

and get real. We didn't win the game because we made more key mistakes than they did. Yes, we did outplay them in a lot of ways but they didn't beat themselves like we did. We made mistakes - they didn't.

Let it go - they won so stop saying we "really" won - that's what a loser says.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They won the #### game, get over it.
We will be back if we remain focused because we will be that good in my opinion.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Stop arguing about the clock at the end of the half.

Jan 27, 2016, 2:51 PM

Yes it should have been 12-14 seconds instead of 9, but it was also a bad decision by our coaches to go ahead and kick a field goal with 9 seconds left. That is plenty of time to run a play to the endzone and still kick a field goal. Les Miles did it with 7 seconds left against Auburn. We should have ran a play before kicking a field goal. So yes the refs messed up, but it should have been inconsequential if we had made the right decision.

Re: Stop arguing about the clock at the end of the half.

Jan 27, 2016, 2:53 PM

yeah and then have the clock run out on you before you can get the FG team on the field. If you aren't careful.

Jan 27, 2016, 3:01 PM
