Worst call from the officials Saturday

Dec 3, 2014, 7:55 PM

1.Anthony's late tap on the shoulder and then subsequent ejection as his helmet brushes Thompson's
The rule clearly states that targeting is launching at a defensless player, Thompson wasn't defenseless but the rest of the team sure was,lol
2.The strip of their te Adams on the last drive after 2 seconds and the play was blown dead. But the SEC refs allowed the GT qb to be poked and prodded for what seem like a eternity until the uga player finally muscled it away and return it 99 yards for a td..talk about real consistency
3.Here's on not talked about, the onside kick. The receiver clearly was fooled and threw up a late desperation fair catch.Their guy was looking over his right shoulder for the ball and Kearse came in on the left side to retrieve it.No ball for Clemson and a 15 yard penalty to boot
4.Sideline infraction with them driving and our defense starting to clamp down...how convenient

Nobody is talking about #3 because it was the correct call- didn't have to be a fair catch to be a penalty.

My only problem with #3 they didnt issue the penalty till after they conferenced. If it wasnt originally called then how can they go back and flag him?

Yep, and Anthony was leading with his hands - incidental!***

Clowney's big hit on the Michigan rb was clearly more targeting. His planted his helmet right under the guys chin and both helmets touched. But all the oohing and ahhing from the fans and the commentators won out

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I believe you can't interfere whether his hand was up or not***

I believe they need to get everybody on the same page with targeting. If Anthony's was targeting then the dive by the coot was worse but yet no flag. If they are gonna call that, they have to be consistent because if the game had been close SA being gone could've cost us the game.

the play before Anthony was ejected . Beasley almost had Thompson and got a clear block in the back right in front of a ref no call

I sit close enough to the field on the visitor's side to have observed DW's no TD call, Vic's block in the back and the no call on 12, every year they seem to have a player that has extracurricular hits after the play is through and the darn zebra's act like they never see them, The darn ACC officials do the same as the Sec do, but Saturday was ridiculous! That is what makes it sweet we over came more then we should, da Coots and the officials!!!
