The only CUFB loss in my lifetime I didn't take to heart.

May 2, 2018, 8:28 PM

On September 20, 1997 Peter Warrick put on a Clinic. 372 All-Purpose Yards (8 Rec for 249 yards, 2 TDs, 90 Yard Punt Return for TD) FSU entered 2-0, and had opened the year at USC with a Win in Los Angeles holding them to just 7 points. Yet, despite Warrick's day and FSU's NFL roster, the 28 points Clemson scored were the second most by an ACC opponent against Florida State in the Seminoles' six years in the league. It was an entertaining game , we just came up short.

That one was tough. My second ever home game during my freshman year. We only gave up 9 first downs and gave them a touchdown on a snap over nealon’s head. Lost by 7. Had zero answer for Peter Warrick though. Those stats were insane. My first big time game in Death Valley was a classic though I must admit.

FSU had a knack of winning games with big plays.

Warrick should have been suspended for Dillard’s episode

Dabo would have sat him.

That was 99. Tay Cody should have suspended too and he blocked the game trying field goal. That loss was on Bowden though.

Bobby Bowden ran a very undisciplined program.***

I remember this game. My seats were in the WEZ bordering the visitor's section. The entire section stood the entire game, and I never left my seat--was a combination of too crowded and too exciting. Even my wife, who is not a football fan by any stretch of the imagination, enjoyed the game and was really getting into it. Good game, we almost got 'em that day.
