the national champion. Once conference championship games have been played, ask the oddsmakers in Vegas decide. They dont have a dog in any game. They don’t read the polls and they don’t listen to the weekly CFP show. They go strictly on who is better. Otherwise, why would they have the number 2 team an underdog to the number 3 team?

They are right most of the time. But, I will have to add that the most money Vegas has ever lost on a college football game was when we stomped Alabama last year.

The spread isn't based on who will win, and by how much. The line is set, to try and get an equal amount of money bet on each team, so they are guaranteed to make 10% on each bet! They hope their losses on each side are equal, to cancel each other out!
