The matchups for the 1st 2/3 weeks in Sept have seemed weaker than usual

There HAVE been SOME good ones - like CU/TAMU - LSU/TEX - USC/STAN - OREG/AUB - CANES/FL - no matter what the finals were, still fairly big games heading in.
Outside of those types, seems like we've had a bunch of weak stuff even extending into the coming week. That changes some in week 3/4 with more conf. play - but even then it's not a big list of super games.
Just seems 2019 has started off with fewer decent matchups. Maybe I need to check further into this weekend.

why risk your phony baloney ranking when you can schedule and lure supposed cream puffs with money and even they either upset you or scare you to death. Right Michigan.

Agreed. I looked the first half of the season over a week or so ago. Looks like week 4 is pretty good. Also, by then we’ll get a clearer picture of who are contenders/pretenders. Some marquee matchups might not look so hot and vice versa. Too bad Florida St and Tennessee don’t play. That one would be entertaining ??
