The B1G had no team in the CFP, the SEC has 2, so the early matchups are in the B1G's favor. Wisconsin, Ohio St, and Penn St are the ones that count. Those are actually games that are on a fair equilibrium.

But it does indicate the possibility that OHST was playing tougher competition during the regular season than Alabama was. I, in fact think OHST probably would have gotten the nod, had 31-0 not happened last year.
