What is Clemson's athletic budget this year?

Jan 17, 2019, 6:56 AM

I assume it is pretty much break even at best.
It will be a huge shot in the arm with the ACC Network pumping in an extra $25 million each year. Isn't that the estimate? When do we get our first payment from ESPN?

Regardless of the amount. That’s how non-profits operate. I haven’t seen anything regarding a first year projection but $25mil seems way high.

I cant remember where either but I read about up to $16M per school early after the Netwoork begins with a potential up to $25M after 5 years or so.

$25 million is way too high.

The excess goes to the general university fund

Our situation is pretty unique because of how IPTAY is independent. IPTAY makes up just what the budget needs snd can accumulate the rest, when for nearly all other public schools the booster club is part of the athletic department and all of the contributions have to be spent or transferred to the university. The network should be worth a few million per school.

Isn't the NFL a non-profit?***

Sometimes they share any excess with the "poor" departments on campus who depend solely on state funding.
