Spurrier on Hopkins...
Posted: Jan 8, 2013, 10:08 AM

|
From the Greenville news...
http://www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20130107/SPORTS/301070014/?nclick_check=1
“The other thing that jumped out,” he said, “was that guy (DeAndre) Hopkins. I don’t have any question in my mind, Hopkins is the best wide receiver in the nation, bar none. You just don’t see many guys who can get down the field like he can, go up and take the ball away in a crowd like he can. He’s the best, he’ll be a first round draft choice in a couple months.”

I know those in the 3rd get good money. He will have to prove himself with his play to get the big bucks!

Yes, he wants Nuk to leave, but I don't think he's full of beans. Nuk is a stud and I think he will end up as a Roddy White-type player for someone.

I think you're giving him too much "credit" in this case.

The Spurrier I know of could give a crap whether Hopkins is on Clemson's team or not.

It's not that what he said was untrue...

It's just that while he was ranting and raving, Spurrier was laughing all the way to the scoreboard again. Maybe Dabo should shift strategies a little in dealing with this supposed "non-rivalry".

Spurrier is saying this because his beloved Coots held Hopkins to 1 catch this year. Hidden meaning!

So, have we heard anything definite on Nuk yet? Most of the projections I've seen have him early in the 2nd round. NFL money sounds great, but I'm not sure you can put a value on a senior season playing football for Clemson.

I don't think it takes an rocket scientist to figure out whats gonna happen. The only player I know of who came back from being a sure fire round 1 pick is cj....I was glad he did it but man did he take a huge risk.
