The QB drama might have cost us a playoff spot

Nov 1, 2014, 5:05 PM

I'm convinced if Watson would have gotten the first 3 drives at FSU we win that game.

Watching UGA struggle with a terrible Florida team tells me there's a strong possibility we could have beat them as well with DW at the helm.

Win just one of those two and we're right there in the mix.

Sucks for the defense. May wind up #1 in the country at the end of the season.

we lost that one on the field, not on the sideline. Our coaches had 'em ready to play that night on the road, but our players gave it to them multiple times.

This year, we've taken two steps backwards to take

Nov 1, 2014, 5:18 PM

8 steps forward next season...

That doesn't make much sense but just know we'll be very, very good.

Our defense will take several steps back next year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Don't see that happening at all...yes we lose depth, but

Nov 1, 2014, 5:23 PM

those guys behind who we have starting have every chance to be just as good...

Some of the people bashing our Defense a couple years ago said we needed to recruit talent across the D line while COMPLETELY ignoring the guys we have starting now (freshman/sophmores at the time). I guess they didn't see that talent coming either? ;)

Yep dabo cost us at least one of those games by playing the wrong qb and rb. I was screaming it and everyone one here said maybe you should coach.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Don't scream it on TN. You are missing mega $$ by staying

Nov 1, 2014, 8:08 PM

out of coaching. Good luck.

It's why I have such a low tiger pulse. I suggested that when they started Stoudt during the second half of the UGA game. Of course, they may have felt Watson was a little underdeveloped to go against such large guys, like how he broke his hand in the Louisville Game (yes, I'm aware it was the helmet and not the player who did it).

Re: The QB drama might have cost us a playoff spot

I think alot of us newcomers pulse died that day. Truth is only true when its popular. Otherwise, thumbs down, coot calls etc. I was calling for Watson from day 1 having seen him play here ga. But alot of tnetters felt "I knew better than the coaches, play too much xbox, etc. Two games later, well Watson was the starter.

Our lack of an OLine cost us a playoff spot

Nov 1, 2014, 5:32 PM

They've been our weak point all year, along with RB. A lot more so than the QB spot. UGA blew us up. We've got a very good team but at least this year we aren't well rounded enough to compete for a national title. I'm excited for the future though!
