Sports media is about as corrupt as political media

Oct 4, 2016, 2:03 AM

They build a narrative and make of up the most crazy #### possible to fit that narrative. How somebody can say Jackson should get the Heisman over Deshaun when he had a chance to win the game and didn't is beyond me. Our guy did his job, their's didn't.

The Love affair is getting a little ridiculous***

give him the ### Heisman already, who cares....

Oct 4, 2016, 2:51 AM

he'll just be another Andre Ware.

What people will remember is when Deshawn wins the Natty.

And if he has to, I have supreme confidence that DW will find a way

to beat the Ville again if they're waiting in the CFP semis.

It'll be like whooping Okie again last year, or

Tajh beating the Hokies twice in 2011.

Jackson is a good player....

but he lost.... wtph ever.

Good scramble against a defense playing its 98th snap

Oct 4, 2016, 5:52 AM

I think it's more impressive a gassed defense even had those chances to take him down.

I don't understan why yall get so upset about this stuff

Oct 4, 2016, 1:00 PM

It can't be healthy to get all up in arms about everything that is said on TV, websites, message boards, etc. The games themselves give me more than enough stress.

It was a nice play that helped keep the game alive for his team. If he gets sacked there (about 98% of QBs would) it's at least 4th and 15 and Louisville probably has to burn their last TO. Is ESPN going a little overboard with it? Sure. But it wasn't just an incomplete pass either.

The dumbest thing about all of this is the "Heisman moment" garbage. Hey, lets focus on one play out of a thousand over the course of a season and base our voting on that! What a great idea!

im not upset. i just happened to see it on twitter***

Re: I don't understan why yall get so upset about this stuff

Oct 4, 2016, 5:47 PM [ in reply to I don't understan why yall get so upset about this stuff ]

How about this then. On the last play to quick, he threw to his wr that was 9 yards from the first down. How many times have you heard commentators rail about qbs not throwing pay the yardage needed for a first down. Jackson left it up to his wr to make the yardage by himself, and he wimped out. How many receivers have you seen in a similar situation lower his shoulder and bull his way for the yardage, try to fake out the defender to make the yardage. Or dice for as much yardage as he could get. Quick did none of this. He meekly allowed himself to be pushed out of bounds short of the yard line he needed. He never left his feet. This was a Heisman moment of the Nahant variety. Jackson's (and the media's) beef should be with quick not the yardage marker. By the way, the maker was a half yard past what was needed for the first down. If it would have been a yard short of what was needed for the first down, Louisville would have a legitimate complaint. As it played out, they can only look inward to assign blame. Who in the media has the balz to point this out?
