The CFP silly season is upon us

Oct 31, 2018, 11:13 AM

Dust off your hoary cliches;e.g "Strength of Schedule ", "Resume", "Quality Wins", "Eye Test" and my personal favorite, "Body of Work". It's time to anoint The Chosen.

Question: should consideration be given for a team that may have started slowly (1 or 2 losses or subpar performances) but are now playing lights out?

To answer your question about 1 or 2 subpar losses, the answer is no!
Unless of course, you are Bama or Notre Dame.
Frankly, I don't know why the Committee just hasn't decided to let Bama, and Notre Dame play each other every year and, declare the winner the champion.
But then we wouldn't need all those cliches!
