The ACC is a boy whereas the SEC, P10, B12 and B10 are men.

Nov 28, 2012, 10:48 AM

The SEC, Big 12, Big 10 and Pac 10 will always be considered as the "Big 4" conferences whereas the ACC will be considered as the "tag along" little brother. That will be reality and perception. When playoffs start in 2014, ACC teams will be considered minor league by the selection committee. The ACC will be fortunate to get a spot in the Final Four. Occasionally, yes, the ACC will get a team in. But more often than not, the ACC won't. And you are crazy if you don't think that will be used against us in recruiting.

I'm realistic enough to know that the SEC does not want nor need us. But we need to get into one of the "Big 4" conferences, for the long-term health of the football program. I hope that the Administration is working behind the scenes to get us a spot in the Big 12 before all spots are taken up. There will be 4 major 16-team conferences when it's all said and done. We need to be one of those 64 teams. One of these mornings, we will wake up to hear that the Big 10 has taken in some combination of UNC, UVA and Georgia Tech. Then what? Hopefully, the Big 12 will have room because they would be our only hope. And, by the way, NO, I could care less what Dabo's feelings are on this. Dabo is in it only for Dabo. He simply wants to pad his record against creampuffs.

You are either a USC fan and/or too stupid to know how your comments could hurt our recruting.

What? Concerned that we will be left out makes me a SCar fan? I don't think I'm alone with this fear. The ones who are complacent about this situation are the ones who may be SCar fans. Again, as I mentioned, I'm concerned about the "LONG-TERM" health of the program. And if the internet influences recruits, they are too stupid to be admitted or have football sense to help on the field.

The major difference in Clemson and USuCk is that we stand on our own and are not defined by a conference whereas USuCk hides behind the sec banner. I thought it was quite humorous and then sad how I saw several SEC signs at the game Sat and not any USC signs...smh

Better conference = More Money

It's really simple. More money = more success.

You need to step away from the Prez Barker propaganda...

Nov 28, 2012, 2:18 PM

and realize the only future for the ACC is Basketball.

Long term health? The Big Ten and Pac "12" and yes it is 12

Nov 28, 2012, 11:12 AM

are just barely ahead of the ACC rankings wise. The Big Ten after Ohio State isn't very good and they did not help matters by adding Rutgers and Maryland. The ACC will get better by just cleaning up programs at Miami and UNC. VT had a down year but they will bounce back no doubt. Louisville isn't a great addition but they are batter than MD over the past 5 years. As far as padding stats against crampuffs.. you're an idiot!! Last year Clemson beat 4 of 5 top 25 opponents. We played the same schedule basically this year but those teams had bad years. Next year we pick up UGA and VT will be ranked plus FSU and S Car. Thats as good a schedule as Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa ,Michigan, Ohio St and 4 non conference creampuffs. The ACC is competing they are just a little behind. "Long term" we are in good shape.

I'm with you. I am sick and tire of the ACC. If Dabo wants to play creampuffs let him coach in the Southern Conference. I don't think we have anyone with any say so with enough sense to make a decision like moving to another conference.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

However there is great consolation in the fact...

Nov 28, 2012, 2:10 PM

that we're Clemson Tigers and not SC dirtpeckers that wasted 4 years at a city college diploma mill that you can get into with a fishing license.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree with what you said, except the potshot at Dabo….

Nov 28, 2012, 2:17 PM

Who knows how Dabo feels about the ACC, and whether or not he wants to go to the Big 12. But one thing is for sure, if he came out and contradicted Prez Barker who has been all about keeping the ACC intact, he would just be creating major headaches for himself.
