William Perry clocked in at an astonishing 305 lbs and he was just a Freshman! Our starting Center was 216 pounds (Tony Berryhill)

At least they grew

The '73 team had one player over 250...and that was Benny Cunningham. Nelson Wallace had to be the smallest nose tackle ever...I don't believe he was much over 200 pounds, but he was cat-quick.

Wasn't Willie Anderson from Mayewood also playing NG? He was 300 lbs from the waist up and 180 lbs legs...dude could bench press the house.

And if you go back to the late '40s , and 1950's you probably didn't find linemen to be much over 200 lbs.

It must be the ostarine .

Napoleon was 5’ 5”, 135lbs. He might have played at Clemson if Clemson were around back then, and he wasn’t trying to control Europe.

as we moved to low/non fat and high sugar

Mar 13, 2019, 7:21 AM

over the past 40-50 years we got much fatter.

Watch any movie from about 1980 and prior and look at how skinny everyone seems. Thats just how people used to be.

It’s TRUE! I was skinny in 1980!

I PLAYED FOOTBALL FOR THE TIGERS IN THE '60'S. AND WE HAD TWO PLAYERS ON THE TEAM WEIGHING OVER 250 LBS. BEING AN OL, I WEIGHTED 228 LBS . THE SIZE OF THESE KIDS TODAY AMAZES ME

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's because we were a finesse team back then.***

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

this is because nutrition is a lot better compared to 1981

Mar 13, 2019, 3:33 PM

I mean you could not even get food in gas stations back then, now kids can pretty much get all of their meals there.

Mar 13, 2019, 11:24 AM

or, probably weighing about 320 then, thinking this guy is HUGE! Now I weigh close to that although his was a little more muscular than my own. Back then I was about 210 to 220
