Running Back Play

Oct 25, 2017, 8:16 AM

You guys think we will even see Fuller out there Saturday? He seems to be a liability with his fumbling issues. I expect Feaster and Etienne to split carries. Choice will probably get a series or two because he's a good change of pace back who's been great in pass pro and runs extremely hard. Thoughts?

ETN better step it up with his blocking or he might be losing that #2 spot

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That could definitely happen..

Oct 25, 2017, 8:35 AM

As crazy as it is to think Etienne could lose the #2 spot, it could definitely happen if he doesn't pass protect. Can't get the qb killed

In case you didnt hear Dabo yesterday he said Fuller was our most complete back but has hurt his pt with a couple fumbles

Re: Running Back Play

Oct 25, 2017, 8:37 AM

The only way he's the most complete back is because of his amazing pass pro. He is maybe the #3 back on the team talent wise. But, if you know the system well and can pass pro really well then you'll get PT at Clemson

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Amazing pass pro except for his complete whif

Oct 25, 2017, 9:54 AM

On a block. Can't remember the game but it was bad. Feaster is just as good at pass blocking.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Snowflake Basher........Out

Agreed

Oct 25, 2017, 10:08 AM

Yeah I trust Feaster back there blocking

Oct 25, 2017, 10:03 AM [ in reply to Re: Running Back Play ]

Well to be a complete back pass pro is a part of that.

hth

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Pass pro plays a huge part

Oct 25, 2017, 10:09 AM

In being a complete back. Talent just isn't quite there...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sorry, but

Oct 25, 2017, 10:16 AM [ in reply to Re: Running Back Play ]

Which position do you coach on our team?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Forums are for stating opinions...

Oct 25, 2017, 10:20 AM

Makes for good conversation

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

True but I don't agree with basically calling

Oct 25, 2017, 10:23 AM

the head coach a liar, when he's a proven guy of integrity and out there every single day. See what I'm saying?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'v never called Dabo a liar..***

Oct 25, 2017, 10:27 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's why I said "basically"

Oct 25, 2017, 10:30 AM

You said what he said was false. He know better than you, obviously, so you are saying he's not telling the truth. See what I'm saying?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

umm...no comment***

Oct 25, 2017, 10:33 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

But wait..

Oct 25, 2017, 10:35 AM

No comment is a comment.

Just messin.. have a good one.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If fumbling was an issue, Ray Ray wouldn't dress***

But, Fuller isnt worth the fumbling issues..

Oct 25, 2017, 8:40 AM

And Ray Ray is too talented not to play him. Fuller isn't worth the fumbling issues because we have 3 more talented backs on the roster

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: But, Fuller isnt worth the fumbling issues..

Oct 25, 2017, 8:47 AM

Dropped passes aren't an issue either (and i'm not talking about Ray Ray)... If it was Overton and Higgins should def be getting more snaps

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: But, Fuller isnt worth the fumbling issues..

Oct 25, 2017, 8:51 AM

Good point. I think Cain is averaging a drop a game...I know he's special but there would be no drop off with Tee or Overton

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: But, Fuller isnt worth the fumbling issues..

Oct 25, 2017, 9:50 AM

there are drops that are contested and then there are those you just miss. Many of his have been the latter. plus he does not demonstrate the fight for the ball or break it up mentality on some

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Very true, but a drop is a drop...

Oct 25, 2017, 10:11 AM

I have noticed the same thing. Idk if its an effort issue, but he doesn't seem to actually go and fight for the ball like a lot receivers do

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Could be one of the higher draft picks in

Oct 25, 2017, 10:21 AM [ in reply to Re: But, Fuller isnt worth the fumbling issues.. ]

the country if he focused better. Great, great talent, just needs to tighten it up.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Completely agree

Oct 25, 2017, 10:22 AM

All the talent in the world..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Another thing...Fuller doesn't

Oct 25, 2017, 9:09 AM

jump out at me as a starting running back and never really has in his time at Clemson. Other than short yardage runs, he hasn't really done too much..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think he should get many carries, but lets not

Oct 25, 2017, 10:04 AM

forget his kick return against Bama that set up the drive.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I like him at kick returner

Oct 25, 2017, 10:06 AM

Yeah he gave us great field position

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Fuller is very good at pass catching out of the backfield

Oct 25, 2017, 10:11 AM

His catch vs. Ohio State last year was pretty amazing - fought off a lot of Pass Inteference (not called of course) to come up with the TD catch.

Re: Fuller is very good at pass catching out of the backfield

Oct 25, 2017, 10:12 AM

Yeah he has been very reliable out of the backfield. Pass pro has been great. Just seems to lack that natural running ability that Feaster & Etienne have

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

PUT DYLAN THOMPSON IN THERE!!***
