Roy Martin: Clemson - Virginia Tech Preview

Clemson is also coming off one of the biggest and most emotional wins they have had in some time. The additional pressures of a short turnaround and the loss of yet another starter may have Clemson in mental state that makes them ripe for an upset. Full Story »

the closer we get to this game, the more nervous I get. This

is the trap game of the year, partly in thanks to ESPN's coverage of the GT game I think.

Hope we can get it done after a great season.

I was nervous about this game at first. But then I thought they have to score to beat us. I don't think our D is going to shut everyone down like against Ga Tech. But the Hokies O doesn't look very good this year and I don't see them scoring many points. VT may slow our offense more than Ga Tech, but they won't stop them. Unless Clemson has four or more turnovers, I don't think VT can beat them.

I'm sorry, but I've seen three Sean Glennon

Oct 26, 2006, 2:30 AM

games, and NONE of them have been good at all. Seriously. I've said a couple of times, he is not a good QB, especially against a bad UNC team. Remember how our game turned out with UNC? He (Glennon) didn't look good. Imagine GA chasing after him...

I don't picture the big blowout initially...they are good at home and have a team that resembeles several VT teams. BUT they are mistake-prone, which is not VT ball, which means I think we win by 10.

Re: I would rather see Glennon than Whitaker

Oct 26, 2006, 8:36 AM

I watched Whitaker play in high school for 2 years and he is going to be great. He's a taller version of Michael Vick. Very strong arm and great feet. If he does see action against us I have a good feeling that our defense can really rattle him. Still would rather not see him in the game.

That's fairly accurate***

Did you see the UNC game?

Oct 26, 2006, 8:04 AM

Enough said. This VT team isn't very good. Granted they are in Blacksburg, but the Tigers are too much for them. Final score CU 35 - VT 9
