If Beasley leaves...I wonder who is going to step up at DE.

I'm wondering if Ebenezer Ogundeko can replace that void. Looking at his size 6'3 230lb, he would be perfect if he had the speed to go with it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dec 12, 2013, 8:49 AM

someone 6'4 to 6'6 was too slow to block him.

I thought he retired.

Ebo would be the one to watch i agree

Dec 12, 2013, 8:46 AM

If you watch his HS film then you'll see great speed and athleticism. The main reason he took a RS was because of depth in front of him and the fact that in NY HS football isn't as big as it is down here and he suffered from a teaching standpoint that the coaches have to help him with.

Drobins, I think Ebo will be a beast as well

Dec 12, 2013, 9:02 AM

I think our Defense will be better next year with Jarret and Watsonn returning. Shuey will be missed.

Yeah, and I like that CBV says he's a very prideful fella

IMO that equates to "Imma work my ### off to be the best cuz no one else should be better than me when I can control my effort."

I don't see Vic getting a high round grade being 6 foot 2 6 foot 3 and 235 pounds as he doesn't have a true position. He would be a LB in the NFL. NFL doesn't care about production a lot of times. They want to know potential.

That being said......if he goes........then Shaq will step in and be able to dominate from day 1.

LSU's Mingo was only 6'4" and 240 pounds as a DE in college

Dec 12, 2013, 9:06 AM

He was selected 6th overall, because they saw him as a very strong/fast OLB. He's started 4 games for the Browns so far with 4 sacks and 26 tackles.

I could see Beasley making a similar transition, and NFL teams seeing him as a similar type of player.

Beasley is an OLB in a 3-4 in the NFL-- he's exactly what

Dec 12, 2013, 10:06 AM [ in reply to Re: If Beasley leaves...I wonder who is going to step up at DE. ]

teams that run a 3-4 look for--- he will be 245 by the time next season rolls around-- whether he's at CU or NFL; he will be 250+ by year 2

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Beasley is easily a 1st or 2nd rounder

Dec 12, 2013, 9:15 AM

I think Shaw will fill in nicely though if Vic leaves
