Took my kids to the track yesterday

To run, not the dog track.
So I did my 3.1 miles and the kids each did about 1.5 miles before giving up and retiring to the bleachers to hang out.
My daughter finds, and pulls out of the dumpster 2 whole boxes of air heads, and a box of skittles. It has to be about 120 air heads and maybe 26 bags of skittles, along with maybe 30 bags of potato chips. We took the candy back to the house, I'm not gonna lie. I'll use it as bribes to get the kids to do stuff.
I just had to appreciate how freaking awesome it would feel to be a kid and find something like that! Candy is EVERYTHING to kids. That was the mother-load! Probably the janitors were cleaning out the canteen and just trashed it all.
She definitely has her old man's questionable moral compass and inclination for finding free stuff.
I was able to knock a minute and a half off of my time, btw. 27:00.

I feel like I recall folks being mad that the "convenience centers" became a thing. They'd complain about the hours but I think they really just wanted to search for free ####.

You pulled candy out of a mf dumpster? What the hell is happening in this place? Pallet decks, Popeyes chicken, dumpster candy... I mean I’m a stimulus-receiver and I can swing a box of airheads if I want to get my kids some candy.

Popeyes is awesome.
