Clemson QB commit makes history in Georgia Dome finale

Chase Brice won a state championship last Saturday and made Georgia state high school football history along the way. Brice threw three touchdown passes as Grayson clinched its second state championship on a Will VanPamelen field goal in overtime in defeating state power Roswell at the Georgia Dome.

Grayson only had 8 yards rushing so he had to win it for them

Through the air. Everyone says the main thing about him is he is so calm in the pocket even when rushed.

......but Chase hung in there and delivered the win.

Clemson fans may have been selling this guy short! He seems

to have become sort of an after thought with all the Hunter Johnson frenzy.

We have accumulated a potential embarrassment of riches at the QB position for the next couple of years.

What a great "problem" to have!

With all the talent at the quarterback position it would seem that one or more could end up transferring. Only one can start. Like most jobs there is competition so to come to Clemson, the player has to have to confidence that he can earn the starting spot regardless of the competition.

That coach has 4 state titles from 3 different schools

The only coach in the state to do that.He also took Prince Avenue in Athens to another one but lost in the finals.

Oconee (1)
Camden (2)
Grayson (1)

Brice hit a long TD in stride with the wide receiver. Brice threw it on a dime.

Great game to watch

He walked into a pretty sweet situation at Grayson

Mickey Conn left a loaded roster.

It's still really impressive to win titles at 3 different schools though. Very few have done that even nationally. I think Chad Morris only won titles at 2 of his 5 stops in Texas and he's considered one of the top coaches in state history.
