I agree that head to head is bad, but that Auburn LB just laid a perfect form tackle on the Vandy Receiver. His facemask was square in the numbers! That is how you are suppose to tackle someone! We are on the verge of South Park's "sarcastaball". If you play football, expect to get hit, it's a CONTACT sport! If you are worried about taking big hits, watch from the stands!

That was made Bc of many neck injuries that happen with it. I'm sure you'll disagree and there is a fine line, but that hit 10 times will give you a few neck injuries.

Running is also an axial load on the spine, so are we going to penalize players for running bc they may get hurt? I understand what you're saying, and don't disagree that ACTUALLY leading with your head down is dangerous. But in this instance I didn't see the defender lead with the crown of his helmet, he wrapped the receiver up! It is almost impossible to effectively wrap up with your head down
