Texas Loss, USuC Loss Secondary Effects

I think the Texas loss really hurts Oklahoma's chances to argue that a one-loss Big 12 champion deserves to be in the CFP. That was there only "quality" win, which is now against a three-loss team.

The Georgia loss at home to a now five-loss USuC looks even worse for them. If Georgia somehow escapes the season with only one loss, they look similar to the 2018 Ohio State with a really bad loss.

The fact that USuC won't be a quality win for us won't matter, as long as we keep winning. As Dabo says, it is hard to win them all. Go Tigers!

that a one-loss non-conference champion (i.e., Bama or LSU) is more deserving of making the playoffs than a one loss conference champion from the Big XII.

Auburn will finish the season with at least 3 losses, and Florida is likely to have at least 2. So what will LSU’s resume look like by the final CFP ranking. Three ok wins, I will assume 8 other wins, a loss in their most meaningful game, no division title and no conference title.

I would bet you right now that a 2nd SEC team will NOT get in over a 1-loss Power 5 champion, if there are three undefeated teams in.
