Texans traded their 2nd round pick for Brandin Cooks to replace Nuk

What a disaster this off season has been. This is essentially the balance of their two big trades:

Lost - Nuk, 2020 4th round pick

Got - Cooks, David Johnson, moved up from pick 57 to 40 in 2020 2nd round, 2021 4th round pick

If you aren't very familiar with the NFL, that's a perennial pro-bowl WR who's still one of the best in the league for an oft-injured RB that hasn't been good in 3 years and is on a terrible contract plus a decent WR that also has injury problems and is now on his 4th team in 4 years. And part of the justification for trading Nuk was supposedly because they didn't want to pay him, but then they took on two bad contracts in the process of trading and replacing him.

Compare that to the Vikings who traded WR Stefon Diggs and a 7th round pick the day after the Nuk trade for a 1st round pick plus a 4th, 5th, and 6th. And they didnt have to take on two bad contracts.

I hope Deshaun gets out of there because, even if the Texans fire BoB after next season, hes just done so much damage there already that its hard to see them recovering anytime soon.

I stopped watching the NFL about 12 years ago but keep up with the tigers in the league. DW4 needs to GTFO of Houston.

But in full disclosure I don't watch or care about the NFL. Just my opinion based on the little I see and what I read.

rogue is probably the wrong word. Sorry. But he and the GM and he apparently had disagreements over his locker room influence and influence of one (or all) the women he was co-parenting with. Then he was demanding more money with a new contract. I guess with all those kids $16MM/yr wasn't enough.

They should trade him now imo. They have so much rebuilding to do and they are years away. Might as well trade Deshaun for 3 or 4 number 1 picks.
