Question on the offsides call. Does it count as offsides

If the players helmet crosses the line or does his feet have to cross? Because of its his head the he might well have been and no camera angle has been shown right down the line. But if it's his feet then clearly he wasn't. I think that's the question.


I know a cooter who is the world's best ref....

..says he could ref at the NFL level if just given the chance....I'll ask him Monday....:)...

On the kickoff - it is a "plane rule" like scoring a touchdown. If any part of the body crosses the "plane of the restraining line" then it is offsides, but officials are instructed to be most strict on an onsides kick since the advantage gained is the greatest.
