CM taking an OC job with a "bigger" program (whatever that really means) - could take a HC job but it would be with a smaller program.

I don't see DS leaving what he's got at Clemson unless for a major opportunity - and I don't think he's proven himself enough yet for any of those schools to come after him.

But who knows?

As a member of media, I can tell you that we don't hear about 99% of the discussions that take place. But rest assured, every D1 coach who wins, has "unofficial" offers out there...

I'm inclined to believe that sometimes coaches are happy

with their jobs and don't entertain other offers.

Thus, arguing that a coach's merits can be determined by outside offers holds no water, as far as I'm concerned. The important evaluation is the coach's accomplishments on the gridiron.
