He put out a list about a week ago.

Almost like he knew she was sick and was taunting her before she went.

Yup, that's Donald Trump.

What a cruel individual...

Sep 18, 2020, 8:33 PM

Thinking he might have to replace an 87 yo old Justice in a next term.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

Sep 18, 2020, 9:49 PM [ in reply to Re: They might... ]

When I'm speaking of "fair," I was speaking of the democrats. I believe that the next time democrats own the executive and legislative branches they will continue to push changes like the filibuster and do things like add DC as a state, maybe more. It appears to me that the progressive agenda is to change our country. It is an aggressive agenda. That is my opinion - and it's not something that I want to be here in 5 or 10 years saying "I told you so." Wouldn't take much pleasure in that.

On McConnell's BS principle - what was it that he said 4 years ago?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I am going to make a wild guess here....

Sep 18, 2020, 11:51 PM

No insult, I just like watching human nature:

How many of the following, if any, have you done?

1) asked for a refund on a food item that claimed to be “the best you’ve ever had or your money back”
2) chastised someone for being an item or two over the 10 items or less limit.
3) checked your tire pressures two or more times in a week just to be safe
4) alphabetized your medicine cabinet

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sure...

Sep 19, 2020, 12:05 AM

1.) Is that a thing people actually do?

2.) Is that a thing people actually do?

3.) If there is a change in weather temps, I do (spring and fall) but not always.

4.) No medicine to alphabetize, but when I'm older maybe. Probably put them in those days of the week containers.

Can I ask you some questions?

1.) Do you like the look of the new bronco?

2.) When you reverse out of your driveway do you put your arm on the back of the passenger seat and turn your head? Do you rely on the backup camera/mirrors? Something else?

3.) Is your wifi password a joke or funny name?

4.) Would you be okay with donald duck being your neighbor even though you know he doesn't ever wear pants?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Sure...

Sep 19, 2020, 12:09 AM

2) backup camera in new cars, mirrors in old cars

3) it’s a phrase from a famous movie

4) no. He beats his nephews.

you agree with the change aggressively being sought by one over the other. That's fair.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

so to answer your question...

Sep 18, 2020, 11:30 PM

re-reading my post to spooneye...

1) I believe the progressive agenda is to CHANGE the country into something completely different that it was created to be.

2) I believe conservative agenda is to CHANGE the country back to what it was intended to be.

3) Do I think one side is more aggressive than the other? Yes.

4) I do not think the conservatives have done a very good job because they often do not have a backbone. That's one thing that I think Trump has brought. The first year to a year and a half, Trump not only fought against the dems and the media, but against the pubs...and the pubs paid for it in the midterm.

5) While I appreciate Trump's backbone, I do not like the name calling.

6) I don't think Trump and pubs are fiscally conservative. This is bad.

I've said all of this numerous times.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That seems like a basic observation.

Sep 18, 2020, 11:13 PM [ in reply to Is this to say you think the pubs aren't pushing for change? ]

More often than not, they’re pushing for status quo.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Status quo would be the opposite of change.

Sep 18, 2020, 11:19 PM

Franc clearly is indicating he is for change.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well there’s progressive change and regressive change for one

Sep 18, 2020, 11:25 PM

I suspect franc is referring to the latter.

Personally though there’s a lot of genies that are out of the bottle and won’t go back in. I think most reasonable pubs (there are a couple left) realize that simply acting as roadblocks to hyper-progressive governmental and sociological changes is about the best they can do, thus status quo.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And the “reasonable” line was referring to actual pols

Sep 18, 2020, 11:26 PM

Not franc, he’s about as reasonable as it gets.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree it's regressive change that's being sought

Sep 18, 2020, 11:30 PM [ in reply to Well there’s progressive change and regressive change for one ]

the point was just to point out how that qualifies as change.
