I think Clemson beats Miami. And I think Clemson has the talent in the trenches this year to win the title (I didn't think they did last year). But they have to get a lot better. UVA executed better, played harder, and had better coaching tonight. Clemson just has some freak athletes. But they won't out-talent Alabama or Ohio State.

They lost by 18 points. They also had more turnovers, more punts, fewer total yards, and fewer yards per play.
I know it’s popular to gripe about our team at this point every year, but there was no doubt at any point tonight that we are better than Virginia.

Our D is young, but Tyler Davis coming back will help. I give the Cav’s some credit, but the O needs to make the layups and the D needs to grow up this week.

But what we saw tonight was a team that consistently list containment, left men WIDE open downfield, couldn't make the open field tackle and couldn't get off the field on 3rd and 4th down.
That's not good.
An overreaction that this team loses to Miami - yeah. But did we look like the #1 team in the land? No. And it's fair to say so.

And we need to see more pocket push from the interior DL
Offensive play calling was pretty vanilla.
Defense will need to keep the QB from running. Armstrong had over 20 carries because our DTs couldn’t control the pocket.
We’ll be ok. Clemson is never world beaters in game 3.

But I'm not high on MIA or their coach, and Clemson is a 2020 ACC championship team in the making which just needs a lot of reps together.
IMHO Dabo, BV and Tony need to pick their starters and rotation and put the scrubs on the bench until the team is calibrated to take on Bama and Ohio St in the playoffs. Playing Wake and Citadel was just a regression of readiness to play real teams.
