My wife is/was a vet so we take in any sad animal that shows up. We even have a fat tabby that I had to bottle Feed every 3 hours for 3 weeks. His favorite past time is laying on your chest and sucking on your ear lobe, is that strange?

Seriously, though, cats are great. I have great respect for any pet of mine that would eat me within two days of my passing in order to survive. Contrast this with idiotic mutts that would just wait for you to magically reanimate and, in the process, starve to death.
(Just kidding. Dogs are OK. To each his own.)

dogs, are very loyal, are a snake deterrent, and can jump high.
One of our cats is so smart and persistent, he can open my dresser drawer, pull out socks and boxers, take them downstairs, where they are waiting as gifts when I get home.

But a good cat, especially an outdoor one, can be very respectable. I love how they still have the instincts of tigers and jaguars with hunting, hiding their schit, and cleaning themselves. Plus my cat killed a neighborhood cat over food and frequent fights. He's as sweet as can be but ####, earned some legitimate street cred with that surprise!
