New Story: ETN: Freshman running back Travis Etienne sparks Tigers with late runs

ETN: Freshman running back Travis Etienne sparks Tigers with late runs

Clemson’s offense sputtered for most of the second, the cold air sucking the life out of drives seemingly before they started. More often than not, the Tigers’ offense is a finely-tuned machine, but for much of the third and fourth quarters Saturday against Florida St., the offense resembled an old jalopy that needs a tune-up. Enter Travis Etienne. Full Story »

That goes double for the second half of our games. I don't actually know what exactly our 2nd half problems are, but I'm willing to bet a lot of it is our play calling in the 2nd half of our games. I don't know for sure but, I want to say it's bc Elliott is trying to be cute when we have a big lead in the 2nd half of our games.

We don't have much of a passing threat. If Bryant can develop as a passer and our receivers cut out the drops (looking at you Cain) then our offense has the talent to be great. As it stands, it's easy for defenses to stack the box against us. I have no doubt we'll get there, but it may take another off-season. The pieces are there, it just hasn't developed this season. Kudos to those guys for getting it done (for the most part) this season.

Take the training wheels off, coaches!

I love this kid! My favorite player on the offense this year (except for maybe Renfrow, for obvious reasons). ETN is better than Gallman. Excited to watch him develop in the years to come!

Still needs some more work at pass blocking,

but once he gets that down there will be no denying him!

You lost me at “finely tuned machine” more often than not this season***
