Next year defensive tackle postition

Oct 23, 2018, 9:29 AM

Obviously we are enjoying this season. But who do you guys expect to fill the void with us losing Wilkins Huggins and most likely dex after this season?

I waited forever for this season coot .

I will enjoy it and tomorrow is another day I will speak of during the eternity before the next season.

Check the depth chart

I would expect that the guys who are playing behind the ones you mentioned will move up.

Plus losing Twinkie, opened up a spot

More rotation than this year

Pinckney and Williams likely your starters. Kelly will play a lot assuming he can gain about 20 lbs before next season which is reasonable. Jeffries should be a contributor. Tyler Davis will be a freshman version of Grady. And Tyquan Johnson needs a lot of work on his technique but physically he’s in a good spot.

Thank you for the response!

Based on play this year (which may or may not translate next

year), I would expect Williams and Pinckney to start with Kelly and Jeffries coming off the bench with substantial playing time. Caviat: Haven't looked at 2019 signees yet to see if 1 or 2 of those may be able to help.

They are going to have to

Tyler Davis, not a commit yet but we are heavily favored to land him, is short but the most college ready true frosh we’d have. Johnson already has the size but is raw. Ruke is going to take a year at least to bulk up and get his technique down. Don’t know where Cash gets slotted but I’d guess they’d try to bulk him up and play him inside. His technique is already very polished for a HS senior.

Take a look

Oct 23, 2018, 10:27 AM

Are we sure Tyler Davis isn't Carlos Watkins' younger brother?

This kid(link) is rumored to be a flip
