Is Coach Wilhelm in that picture?
Also, the black gentleman along side the players. I wonder what his significance was to the team?

That could be Herman McGee who had been at Clemson...

since '34. I believe Herman is still the longest tenured coach/administrator in Clemson history.

And Coach Wilhelm was not hired until '57 with his first season as HC '58.

An excellent 17-7 season would be considered average in today's environment. Funny how some of our values

Billy O'dell probably won half those game. IMO Billy may be the best pitcher The Tigers have ever had. Arguably of course...
