Kirk Herbstreit trusts Clemson to do what's right for his sons

Kirk Herbstreit lives in two different worlds when it comes to college football. As a former player, his job with ESPN as a college football analyst requires him to travel the country giving opinions on the game he loves. As the dad of two college football players, he only wants what is best for his kids.

Saying..bet the Clemson girls are winners for sure.

Oh, quite an honor for the Herbie Family to consider Clemson as the college home for these two fine young men.

Hope we see them play more.

I'm glad they are at Clemson. They couldn't have made a better choice.

I think that deer ole Dad was thinking about the safest place his two Son's could go with a man like Dabo as the HC with Son's of his own on the team where the rules are the same for every player on the team from a 5* to a walkon. Then Kirk & Mom looked at Clemson being a college town that sports mean everything to the community with their eyes being on everything connected to Clemson. The old adage that it takes a village/community to raise a child, they felt they couldn't have picked a safer place for their two college age sons to be other than Clemson...

There has only been a few instances that players have been in trouble since Dabo has been the HC at Clemson, and IMO, and probably the opinion of the Herbstreit's also, Dabo handled those few troubled occasions like all Head Coaches should, and that was the punishment fit broken rules in a way that was the best for the player, the team, and the school with only a handful of players completely removed from the team/school in the cases where a second chance wasn't possible with the seriousness of the infractions!!! Who wouldn't want their son to play FB for Dabo Swinney? Kirk Herbstreit has his two sons exactly where he wanted them to be bc, he didn't trust the leadership at his Alumni or any of the other FB schools!!!

Yeah... if he keeps talking football season doom and gloom, we will send them back to him.

Glad he trust Dabo, hope they get to move in their new place soon and get to work for this upcoming season.

These two are good role players, that are just a tad bit more heralded than a walk-on, in my opinion.

Dont think they'll ever see significant playing time on a National Championship Caliber team like Clemson.

They'd be stars at PC, Wofford, or The Citadel, just saying.
