So let me get this straight--SC vs ECU

They had just scored after a trick play and went up 41-3 against ECU. And they go for a 2 pt conversion???? Why? What sort of ego does it take to go for 2 against ECU with that type of lead?

It was a bad snap and the holder threw the ball out of bounds. No receiver left the LOS. You are correct about the trick play.
Trick plays while up by a big margin are not about beating the current team you are playing they are about making future opponents DB's stay with the deep guy instead of coming up on the WR screen after seeing film and knowing the guy can throw the ball.
There ends your lesson.

It's the ballsack's same ego/cocky attitude that he had when he was at Florida when he COULD run the score up on opposing teams any time he wanted to...

Trick plays are not that-trick plays- they are really a "disguise play" to show other teams watching film on you that your qb can throw the ball?
I dont get it.. why not just throw the ball?

I have heard it all now. We were just practicing a trick play. LOL. Disguise, tricking future opponents, etc.
Wow, what a bunch of ######### we have lost 3 games to the last 3 years. As has been said many times. The Alabama attitude and the Vanderbilt trophy case.
I love the scheduling too. Yeah they have to play LSU, but scheduling the likes of SC State, The Citadel, or Wofford before they play us. Their out of conference games are a joke. Scheduling is set in advance from my understanding. I am sure when we scheduled Auburn for this year no one knew they were going to be bad.

They didn't go for 2. We only had 10 men on the field. Two coaches were on the field yelling to not snap the ball. The snap was made, a very high snap, and rather than get killed by an unblocked man coming off the edge, Strickland stood up and threw the ball.
