TE Muhammed's quote about Clemson sounds good

Aug 17, 2017, 12:04 PM

From the latest article on 247:

Texas: "I like how they have a new system and a new head coach. It's a new vibe over there."

Michigan: "I have no idea why everyone has predicted me to go there, but I do like Michigan. They use the tight end position really well. I've been up there twice.

"It's a really good vibe, family environment similar to Clemson."

Clemson: "I really like Clemson. A family environment. I really like the coaching staff, and Dabo is one of my favorite coaches. I'm excited to go for an official visit because I know they have a crazy game day environment."

LSU: "I have liked LSU for a long time. I have been going to their games since I was little."

Sounds much better than I'd expect when everybody thinks he is a Meeshagun lock. Hope we can land him. It would be the best TE haul we've ever had.

We use the TE position as much as Mich and that's with ELITE WR unlike Mich had. A TE is critical to our game and he will be used A LOT. Don't know why we aren't the landslide favorite and hopefully we soon will be after he see's the real Death Valley get crazy for a big game!

Our TE is expected to be an effective blocker ...

... every really good (NFL caliber) TE we've had over the last few years has had to learn to block in order to get snaps.

Even Jordan Leggett, who many fans consider a relatively weak blocker was much better than he was given credit for.

I watched Legget's cut ups prior to the draft. My poor opinion of him as a blocker got even worse.

He was never great, but he got better ...

... he did well out on the edge, but wasn't too effective in power run situations. That's why Clemson made so much use of the guys like Garrett Williams and other hybrid TE/H-backs.

Would love to see Milan Richard actually turn out to be a complete TE.
